This is a great starter blanket and it helped with my insomnia. I do wish it was washable. I purchased a twin size duvet to keep clean for now. I plan on purchasing a heavier blanket at some point, hopefully with a duvet will come with the next one.
I have been looking for a weighted blanket for a while and this is a very reasonable price for a quality midsize weighted throw. I like the two different sides; the plush side is very soft, and the microfiber side is good for my cats to hang out on. The stitching seems very solid; I'm not nervous about anything ripping or tearing open. Like others, I'm a little disappointed that this isn't machine washable, but it looks fairly easy to spot clean. Size is good; I'm 5'10" and it's big enough to cover me up to the chest and works well as a lap blanket. I use mine on the couch in the evenings and I find it very soothing. If you like the feeling of the lead vest at the dentist's office, you'll probably like this too.
Is it possible this is making me sleep "too" good? In all honesty, it's probably just the head cold doing that. :) But each night I've slept with this under my comforter it's been lights-out quite quickly, I haven't had to reach for the ear plugs right away, and I feel like I'm coming out of a coma when I wake in the morning (hence the wonder if the sleep is "too good."). I'd encourage anyone considering a weighted blanket to give this one a try!
It's a good quality & cozy blanket. The beads aren't noisy at all for a light sleeper like me. But it's too warm eventhough the temperature outside my house currently in the low 60s & I slept with the windows open.
I could get the same coziness by adding an extra blanket & use my comforter. And when I feel too warm I can remove layer by layer until it's just right. I couldn't do it with this weighted blanket. Tried 3 nights & couldn't sleep, will return it.
Great value for the price, though I got it on sale. Nice and soft. Perfect weight for me,at 5’4 and 140 lbs. I’d get one that was a bit heavier if you prefer to feel more “hugged” but this is good for people who sleep hot and still want something covering them.
