I've had the power detect clean and empty for almost a month now so I feel I can give it a fair review. Since unboxing and assembling, I have used it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. For context, I live on a farm, I have horses and a dog. Myself, my Husband, and the dog are in and out of the house multiple times a day to care for the horses and do other farm chores. Hay falls off our clothes, hair falls off the dog, wood shavings, dirt, and God knows what else come off our boots, pants, etc and we need something easy and fast to help keep things clean. Our robot choked daily from the mess we all drag in and eventually just stopped working all together. If you're not familiar with farm life, it's literally impossible without stripping shoes/clothes all off outside before entering the home NOT to drag something dirty inside. If you know, you know. So far, this vacuum has fit the bill for what we need. Quick and easy cleaning up (think 15 minutes or less). On hardwoods/tile/hard floors, it's great! It's a little weird on the rugs we have. Sometimes it's hard to push on them depending on the rug thickness-this is the reason for giving 4 stars. If you only have carpet, this may not be for you. I am absolutely in love with the auto empty, and I don't think I would like the vacuum nearly as much without that feature. I also love that you can use it as a hand held to get to smaller, or raised locations and have used it to clean vent covers, window sills, etc. Now, would I use this as a primary vacuum to do a deep clean on my entire house? No. But for quick daily cleaning so our floors aren't a complete disaster? This vacuum is perfect and it does exactly what I wanted it for with ease.

It's a great cordless vacuum. My biggest issue is the handle. My knuckle on my thumb rubs against the canister and gets rubbed raw while vacuuming.

This is a hard review to post as it seems I'm the only one in the world who has found issues with Shark vacuums not wanting to work on washable rugs!! I'm talking 9 ft x 12 ft rugs not just little ones. It stops working like it sucked up the rug or got caught. The Vertex liftaway corded/power detect liftaway corded and now this new cordless. Which speaks to its great suction power but what on earth am i going to do with my over $1500 worth of Shark vacuums and no way to vacuum all my new rugs?!?!? Help!!!

This is my third shark, and i don't feel it compares to the others that I've bought in the past. I don't like the power detect system. It doesn't always power up when you need it to vacuum up something. I didn't see any way to override it and increase the power myself. Also, it didn't come with any type of instruction manual. You have to scan it with your phone and try and figure things out that way.

I purchased this vacuum as a replacement for my old Lift-Away vacuum and I love the dirty sense function. The multidirectional roller takes some getting used to but it picks up dirt and pet hair like a champ. There are nooks in the canister that don’t come completely clean when mounted on the tower but I like the ease of emptying the vacuum.

I brought this a short time ago, and at first liked it very much. I have dogs that shed, and their hair keeps getting caught in the front roller and stops it from rolling. Also the automatic disposal isn’t working. This morning the vacuum kept turning off after a few minutes. Not happy.

Sweeper has good suction. Works well, but is expensive considering I can only seem to get 10 minutes of cleaning time out of it. I feel shark should give an extra battery at that price point and of course, they are out of stock.

Just go ahead and pick something else. I had high hopes for this because I have shark vacuums in my house already. This one is probably my 5th shark. It doesn’t pick up what they say it will. It gets clogged so fast and then you have to turn it upside down to remove the clog. I do not want to touch that stuff. Canister is small. Both the one on the vacuum and the one on the stand. It’s lightweight but definitely under performed.

I love this machine! It is loud, however, it is powerful! My grandson lite up when he didn't have to take it outside to empty it

Very easy to put together and start using. It has amazing cleaning power and the auto dump feature is awesome. I would 100% recommend this vacuum.

Switched to Shark from Dyson and could not be happier. Battery life is great, suction is powerful, and the auto empty is a game changer! Been using for the past two weeks and it works perfectly for my hardwood floors and area rugs. Only downside with the auto detect mode is that it is too powerful for smaller rugs and can crumple them, prompting me to stop and restart the vacuum.

It’s a great vacuum, lots of power and a long battery life than most, but very disappointed when vacuuming area rugs, it seems to get caught and stops vacuuming. The idea of a dual brush is what I liked, but in some cases doesn’t work as well!

Great power , good for all floor surfaces, in power mode it does go through the battery very quickly. The one need is an option for a second battery for standby so you can finish whole house areas without having to stop and recharge. Overall great machine . .

Excellent product with powerful suction and great feautures to boot. It really makes vacuuming fun dare I say!! All the extra features such as Auto detection modes and self-cleaning just really makes this an outstanding product.

So far so good. It has an awesome suction and I am loving the automatic empty.

I love this vacuum so much! It’s so powerful and the lights are so bright which is amazing for my dark floors! I ran this vacuum throughout my whole place when I first got it and was shocked at how much it picked up! I usually vacuum a few times a week with an old Shark plug-in model which has picked up a lot and done well over the years compared to other newer vacuums, but this one blew that out of the water! The only annoying thing about this vacuum is that it doesn’t roll well on my area rugs. The suction definitely increases with the detect mode and it picks up a lot more stuff in the rug than my last vacuum did but it doesn’t roll well at all and I have to put a lot more effort into pushing it and moving it across the rug which is really frustrating considering how much it costs… but it still picks up very well and has gotten a little easier each time I use it on the rug so maybe it just needs some more time and usage before it gets better? My dog got into a bunch of crackers and dry couscous the other day and made a big mess (on the hard floor and the rug) that I usually wouldn’t use a vacuum on since the pieces were so large, but this vacuum picked it all up and left no trace of the mess! I was amazed!! Overall, a great vacuum but if you have a lot of rugs or carpet in your house maybe try a different vacuum.

It’s early so I cannot speak to its longevity but we love this vacuum and has plenty of power. The edge cleaner would be my only draw back. It doesn’t seem to work as good as I would had thought.

I’ve had this thing for six months now. It’s my first cordless vacuum, so I was originally thrilled by its convenience. But I grow more disappointed with it every time I use it. I have to clean the brush head (and sometimes the wand, as well) after each use because it gets so clogged with pet hair. The teeth behind the felt brush just catch hair and clog so quickly. The other issue is that the motor will just randomly stop and all the lights on the screen flash. I have no idea what it means. I turn it off, turn it on, and it starts up again until the next episode a few minutes later. And finally, the battery takes far too long to charge. I have a lot of pet hair and a medium sized house, and I can’t do the whole house on a single charge. It takes hours for the battery to recharge to do the rest of my house. And by then, I’ve given up. Photos show how much hair gets clogged in the brush. The search for a good cordless vacuum continues…

It is awesome. It does a great job. Cant complain about anything. I would recommend this shark to anyone looking for a cordless vac. You won't be sorry!
