This wooden bowl was a wedding registry item, purchased online to assure availability before the bridal shower event. When wrapping the bowl I noticed that one of the wooden bands was not correctly placed, with a very large and noticeable gap, thus not meeting at the edges. I was so upset as the bridal shower was in 2 hours, and I had no time to return and exchange it for a properly made bowl. I had to explain to the bride-to-be, who was gracious enough to state that she would return the bowl to Target. This embarrassment would have been avoided if the bowl had been inspected properly by the Target employee who packaged the bowl for a pre-paid pick-up at the store. Needless to state, I will refrain from being any item online in the future!

I love the look of this bowl, unfortunately it has openings where the ends of the wood pieces join together. It’s not acacia wood it’s is made of Arjun wood. It might be good for decor but not to serve salads mixed with dressings. Sadly, I think I’m going to return it.
