A: I have two of these two-cube bookshelves and two of the six-cube bookshelves, and I have added 4” metal legs to all of them. Six legs on the six-cube and four legs on the two-cube. I use these shelves to store my 12” vinyl records and have had no issues with stability. I gorilla glued the legs on as well as used very short screws. Keep in mind that the wood is not solid wood, so don’t put a lot of down pressure if you’re screwing in screws or you may end up “punching” the screw into the wood. Anyway, legs worked good for me.

Great shelf but came to me not brand new
I love these cube shelves and we’ve used them for years in our place BUT this one was shipped to me and appeared to be returned and somewhat damaged. It came in a brown box that was closed using scotch tape (so had previously been opened) with loose wood pieces that had no protection inbetween or at the top or bottom, the screws and dowels in a Ziploc bag, no instructions, a dent in one oft he wood pieces, and two scuffs/chipped paint on corners. I put it together and will use it because it’s still functional but I was disappointed to receive a seemingly returned and refurbished set rather than new… when new is what I paid for.

The item is great so I decided to buy a second one. Unfortunately all 3 times I tried to order another one Target shipped me a green bath towel instead. Each time I brought the towel to my local Target to return it and they cracked up laughing. I’ve called customer service and explained all 3 times. Perfect solution for the back closet storage area
