This is real industrial pipe for your decorations and designs—accept no substitutes. All pipes and fittings come coated in a light industrial grease to prevent rusting. We highly recommend cleaning and sealing each piece before assembly to ensure they stay rust-free. Sealing the pipe with polyurethane spray will protect it from rust and scratches. Your hands may get a little dirty, but that is the price of high-quality industrial pipe fittings. Assembly is required. The assembled rack measures 27 in. wide (24 usable hanging inches) and 10 in. deep. The kit uses 1/2 in. pipe and fittings, including four flanges, four 12-inch pipes, one 24-inch pipe, two side outlet elbows, and sixteen screws with anchors. The pipe is made from welded Sch. 40 steel, with the final color varying from dark grey to black. Weight-tested to hold up to 50 lbs. with anchors and screws, we recommend securing at least one side into a wood stud whenever possible.
