Q: does the pouring lid with the holes come in a size suitable for red pepper flakes? My current spice jar's top has small holes and they won't shake out easily.

it’s great for the price. i bought two (salt & pepper) and so far it’s working fine. i’m still afraid that one day as im shaking the shakers, the plastic lid piece (where the salt and pepper comes out of) will fall off as it’s not much of a super snugged lid on the little jar.

I bought some of these specifically because I like the small holes in the shaker top. Most you find these days have huge holes in the shaker top, but those can be a problem with more finely ground blends. I enjoy making my own spice blends and keeping them in shaker top jars for quick and easy access when cooking. The square sides help these make good use of storage space, and I find them easier to hold on to than a plain round cylinder. The only complaint I have is that the little round shaker top doesn't seem to feel especially secure when it's attached. I haven't had one fall off yet, but they don't seem to snap to the top of the jar as securely the tops in my favorite jars.

Maybe I just got a bad shipment, or maybe they saw the reviews about the crappy sprinkler attachment? Either way, my order did NOT come with the sprinkler piece. Not the end of the world as I will be measuring out of this container anyway. But if it's advertised to come with something - it should arrive at the end user location with that thing. It's a small glass spice jar. Nothing to get excited about. It serves my purposes.
