A: The weight capacity is 6lbs per shelf. The shelves are only 4.5" deep so it would only be suitable for paperbacks

Q: I would be placing it on carpet, but it looks like the spinning base is smaller than the overall width of the tower. I wonder if it would be tipping over easily as it will be full of dvds. Can the one reviewer advise if it’s fairly stable?
