Looks great but the noise from the motor, even when on low, is highly annoying. Never dawned on me that sound would be a problem with a fan, but had I known, I never would have bought it.

A hummer of a fan. Called Target, they said call their third party partner. Partner confirmed fan should not hum and stated fan needed break in period, suggested run the fan on high for 24 hours. HAHa. Just as loud as ever in low, medium or high speeds. Never heard of break-in period before. I've been around dozens of ceiling fans and noted, regardless of price, some fans are noisy hummers. I've had cheap fans that are silent and more expensive fans, like this one, that are noisy. And vica versa. Also, the thin sheet metal ring that surrounds the blade mounting points was out of round making the fan appear to wobble when rotating. I was able to do some "body work" on this piece and now it is acceptable. Did not return because of the hassle involved. I'll just live with it.

We love the look and functionality of this fan. It's especially nice to have remote control of the fan with variable speeds. The light is bright, great for working in our kitchen. The sleek look of the fan is a definite plus.
