Q: What's the trick to getting the soft close feature to work consistently? It slams shut sometimes & slow closes sometimes!
A: I tried that and while I worked one time it goes back to default if not shutting softly once I out the bin back in. Do you have a video?

submitted bykelly - 3 years agoA: yes, you have to move it to its slot, you will feel it slide into place. Just push it back until it clicks. you will love this piece..very well made

The little slow close piston on the bottom in the back was leaning at the wrong angle and would slip off of the metal tab on the pole half of the time. It came like this from the store. Instead of returning, I wedged a piece of wood and some felt furniture pads to hold it straight up and down and now it slow closes every time.

Q: I just purchased a Brightroom™ 45L Slim Step trash can and my small garbage bags don't fit it, it's too tall. Can you recommend a size bag that fits the height of this wastebasket?

Q: When I step on the pedal to open the can I hear a click as if it's hitting something toward the back of the canister. Is this normal? I swore it was silent before I took out the liner for the first time.

Q: I notice when I put my foot on the pedal, there is a clicking noise. I seem to remember it was quiet opening and closing. It seemed to make noise after I took the inner bin out to change the bag.

Q: The Lid does NOT close all the way. Is this a product defect? There is a 1/3 inch opening, which will make any trash inside smell up the kitchen. Any suggestions? Is this unit broken?
