Q: What's the trick to getting the soft close feature to work consistently? It slams shut sometimes & slow closes sometimes!

  • A: Ours had the same issue. The little slow close piston on the bottom in the back was leaning at the wrong angle and would slip off of the metal tab on the pole half of the time. It came like this from the store. Instead of returning, I wedged a piece of wood and some felt furniture pads to hold it straight up and down and now it slow closes every time.

  • A: We stuck some cardboard behind the piston at the bottom to hold it in place, and that seems to be working so far! A little annoying, but... you get what you pay for. It works just fine for us now, though. Happy with it for the price once we fixed that kink.

    Broke right away.

    We brought it home this afternoon and the foot handle broke after just a few hours (with two kids under 4 granted). Pictures included. Would never recommend. Waste of money.

    Great trash can, when you can find a good one

    Since the only place in my kitchen I can put a trash can is completely visible and in a walkway, I really liked this product because it’s narrow, opens on one end, and is visually appealing. So far, it seems to function well, and the opening mechanism seems sturdy enough. The main problem I have had with this product was finding one in the store that wasn’t dented or scratched in the first place! I went to five different Target stores before I found one that I could live with. Even then, when I got home, I found a small dent near the foot pedal that I didn’t see in the store. Am I going to keep it? Yes. It’s not that bad, but mostly because I don’t want to have to go through all of this again.

    I live alone and this is the perfect size for me. It also is super easy to open and has a plastic insert... haven't had any problems. All the one star reviews are because they ordered it online and it came broken. Just get it in store!! Great trash can in quality and looks for the price!     Amazing!

    I was looking for a metal trash can since my dog was able to knock over my original one when I wasn’t home. I saw this on sale and decided to buy with little to no research. This was the best purchase ever. It’s very heavy so needless to say my small dog is not knocking this over! The lid is also tight keeping out any unwanted smells. Looks exactly like the photo.

    I am returning it because it’s a gift and they know it’s a gift yet. It doesn’t come in a box and it’s huge. I tried to find a box but I can’t find anything so I have to return it and it appears that it smudge is very easily I would keep it if there was a box but I can’t. It’s a wedding gift and it might look to the couple that I bought something that was a floor sample without a box the first one came with a dent on it. Customer service person went and got another one. It was out of a box as well.

    First off for a slim trash, it can holds a surprisingly lot of trash (for me recyclables) and with the removable bin on the inside it helps a lot when I need to empty it. Especially since I use it for recyclables & I don't use a bag, having the bin come right out makes it easy to take it right out & dump it in the communal recycling. It has a sleak design, looks great and fit right into the tight space I have for it in my kitchen.

    dont buy

    Honestly dont purchase inless you do in the store and FULLY inspect the item. I wish I would of fully read the reviews bc recievinf the item broken is a common issue. Customer service is not help either. I will return but its gross that the store will attempt to sell to another customer or consider this waste
