Q: Can you recommend a brand of 13 gallon bags that works with this? the ones I have don't go wide enough to open across the top.

submitted by Nycofee - 3 years ago

  • A: stretching it is not the problem as it fits around the perimeter, it's just not talk enough. so yes, the standard 13 gallon bags do fall inside of it. you will need xtra large bags.

submitted bycarrie - 3 years ago

  • A: Is this a shiny gold or more champagne gold?

submitted byJFrances - 3 months ago

  • A: So I used Glad ForceFlex Bags for the stretch. Take any remaining looseness, gather and tuck inside the back hole on can liner. Use your other bags for Goodwill Donations.

submitted byMckeereed - 3 years ago

  • A: So I have the same problem with my trash bags. I'm just gonna finish them off and then just buy the ones that I can find that will fit them. That's all you have to do. There's no big deal.

submitted bySherrym - 3 years ago

Q: How exactly does the hole hold the trash can liner in? There are no directions and it’s really not intuitive.

Q: Hi. Does this can has to have to be very far spaced away from the wall when the lid is opened? Dee

submitted by Gmom - 3 years ago

  • A: We recommend that the can is placed 2" away from the wall to ensure proper operation of the lid.

submitted byThe Wright Group - 3 years ago

  • A: Hello Gmom - Great question. This large stainless steel waste bin can be fairly close to the wall and open just fine. We would recommend leaving at least a 1/2 – 1 inch of space between the wall and the trash can for optimal use. Thanks for shopping with Target! - Mindy

Q: What bags fit in this can? I've tried every single Target "tall kitchen" and they are all too short and can't sit on the bottom, so end up ripping. What actually fits?

submitted by V - 4 years ago

  • A: Thanks for your interest in the product. A standard 13 gallon bag is the recommended bag size.

  • A: Use the Glad ForceFlex for the extra strength and stretch.

Q: How does the bag hook onto the can?

submitted by Erin B - 5 years ago

  • A: There is a hole in the back of the inner bucket that secures the bag in the can.

submitted byTheo - 3 years ago

  • A: Hi Erin - That is a great question. There is a black plastic container on the inside of the metal can that lifts up. When you are placing your bag inside of the can you can lift this container and surround it with your garbage bag. This gives it a sleek appearance without seeing the bag. Have a great day. - Tiara

Q: Will the lid stay open on its own?

submitted by morgan - 5 years ago

  • A: Yes, if you depress the pedal as usual, you can manually tip the lid back 95 degrees and it remains open. If you simply depress the bottom pedal, it will auto close on its own.

    submitted byAle8 - 4 years ago

  • A: Hello Morgan - The lid is designed as self closing. Thanks for the inquiry! - Dee Dee

    Quality trash can

Excellent trash can! We had ours for over 4 years and it functioned perfectly the entire time. We only replaced it because it started getting gunky and rusted from our trash. Otherwise, long lasting. It's also easy to clean and I like the sleek design. It's expensive than most trash cans, but it's very durable and doesn't stink.

Inconvenient trash can. The lid may be a soft close, but if its against anything it slams loudly when you press the foot pedal. Shape is difficult, makes the can seem full when there is plenty of room still. Round one would have been better.

    Simple, functional, easy to clean

Excellent - easy step to open and the removable liner makes it easy to clean if a bag breaks and causes a spill. Cleans easily. For those complaining about the bag not staying up, have you pulled up the inner can? A standard 13 gallon trash bag from both Hefty and Kirkland grips the inner liner can perfectly for me and then sits inside the larger can. Raised handles on the side of the inner liner makes it easy to lift to remove the bag once full.
