A: Hi Rick! To reattach the lid on the 11.9 Gal. Step Trash Can, place the lid flat on top of the wastebasket so that the notches in the back of the lid align with the notches on the back rim of the base. Press directly down on the lid firmly until you hear an audible click. We hope this information helps!

Soooo annoying! Only worked properly a few weeks. The lid keeps popping off when I press the pedal to open. It pops right off, either onto the floor or pops off and doesn’t open. Poorly made and such a waste.

It's true, the lid always pops off. And there is nothing worse than constantly having to put it back on. It cracks, low quality plastic, and gross to put back on when you have a full trashcan!! Do yourself a favor and buy something a little more expensive that will last.

It's a good garbage can. The size is nice...big, but not overly huge. I like that you can step on the pedal to open the lid, so it's hands-free. The lid did crack the other day, but it's a tiny crack right where it connects to the flap that lifts the lid. But it's so tiny and doesn't affect the functionality. The trash can does hold onto odors, though. We use garbage bags, but still have to wash it often because it traps smell...especially the lid. But overall, it's a good trash can and I will buy another one when the time comes.

Used to work perfectly fine. Now, when I step on the pedal, the lid does not lift up. The part that lifts the lid is now cracking part of the lid. When I press with some force, the lid just pops off the hinge. Doesn’t matter if I have a garbage bag on it or not. Really wish this was more durable!
