Q: i bought this but my garbage bags wont stay on if there is too much stuff or heavy items in it so how do i get bag to fit in place to stay without falling in/

A: I use a thick rubber band to hold bag around the top of the liner. Bag does not fall in. Took pictures showing this, but didn't see where Target showed my pics.
submitted byNBLady - 3 years agoA: The interior of the bin is a removable plastic liner. If you pull that liner out, insert the bag with the top of the bag ringing the outside of the liner and then slide it back in you can trap the bag between the liner and the metal can. If that doesn’t hold sufficiently then use an elastic band as previously suggested.

Regret buying it
It looks nice but that’s about it. The trash bag no matter what brand (I’ve tried glad and hefty) does not stay up. If it’s completely empty it may stay up but as soon as anything at all goes in the trash the bag falls down. Very frustrating I had to buy a stretchy band to keep the bag up.

Totally unhappy with You Target. This garbage can has dents and scratches on front lower half and who ever filled the order should have found another one in good shape or ordered a new one. When I pointed out problem to guy who brought it to me and asked if there was another one, he told me I could go look and swap if I found one. There was not another "D" shape, so here again if the filling person had done their job this would not have happened! I'm 70 years old, have RA, and also had cold food in car. If I'd wanted to go running around a large store I wouldn't have ordered one to pick up. I brought it home because i need for guest coming next week.

Love the D shape!
This trash can is an ideal size. I love the D shape, it fits flat against a wall and it’s wide so this worked perfect for the space we have. It fits a 13 gallon trash bag and I haven’t had any problems with the bag slipping. It’s been great. The D shape is very trendy, I really like it.

This can is a great price! If you want stainless steel look but not the price, it’s worth it. My only qualm with the design is when you press the pedal the lid comes up very quickly and has the potential to bag the wall or object behind it. So….if you have children. Be prepared for banging noises from said can.

Poor Customer Service
This is more about customer service- I received this garbage can completely sticky with crumbs in all the crevices and actual garbage in it. I did a drive up so o did not look inside before pulling away. I’m not sure if it was a return or people just threw their food away in it inside the store. I informed target about it but the only option was to drive all the way back to return it.

If you can love a garbage can, this is one. Fits the new “large 13” kitchen bags”. Like everyone else, new bags weren’t fitting my old kitchen can. This can has a somewhat heavy duty plastic liner you can slip the trash bag over and if your bag leaks, the liner will catch it. Doesn’t seem to tip easily like my old trash can that was plastic.
