A: There are countless trash cans like this that have a form of swing lid, activated by passing material through the lid. If that's not what you want, look for a foot operated one for your meat scraps.

Horrible Design!! The lid falls off constantly, it flings trash out, once the trash can is half full you have to take the kids off or shove your hand into it's monstrous mouth to shove the trash in. Do Not buy this.

I knew once I saw this trash can. It was perfect for my dorm room. This lid was perfect becasue I don't have to open it eveytime to throw away trash, but it still keeps in the scent of the trash. Its also a good size for trash bags its easy to put them on.

I genuinely hope the person that engineered this serves jail time. This was the only lid in stock when I was in store so I spent the $20 on it. It is completely nonsensical. You cannot fill it without the lids dirtying. It's impossible to put anything in without either folding both panels or touching the trash to the lid itself (dirtying it yet again). I cannot see a single application where this design is a benefit more than a hinderance. Such a basic household item, but completely nonsensical in design.

Perfect size for my trash output. The lid is great for just dropping the garbage in, no need for a foot pedal that ends up breaking, or a motion sensor like those high end trash cans. Simple is better! I’ve bought this trash can twice, and I’ll buy it a hundred times more before I buy a “high tech” can.

I figured the lid design would work, so i gave it a shot but I was wrong. A month later, it’s quite annoying. Not sure how someone thought this was a good idea. Not worth the price. Get a simpler and slightly costlier bin.

Really like this in the kitchen, its easy to access and remove the bags. Sealed enough but easy to open. It is also easy to clean, my only complaint is the style of lid is hard to use for dumping anything (like the vacuum contents), the lid must be removed to avoid making a mess.

Purchased as it was a larger bin and easy to remove lid. It holds the smell of the garabge in the plastic so I'm forced to let it air out every so often. Decent bin for the price. Doesn't crack when my cat tips it over which is always a plus.

Good size for our family and the lid design keeps smell out. I like that it stays closed and there's no foot pedal mechanism to open it. Also it mostly stays shut if it gets knocked over so our dog can't get much out. He's a real troublemaker with trash and has defeated every other trash can we've tried.
