Let me start off by saying these are TO DIE FOR - the gold, the skull, the design; obsessed! HOWEVER, these are NOT coasters LOL! They are raised metal all over, so nothing that would require a 'coaster' can actually balance on it without falling over. Both sets I ordered were scratched along the rasied skull due to the friction of the coaster behind it. I would consider these more tiny keepsake dishes than coasters tbh.
