I wanted to like this but you can really only use a shorter candle inside the glass portion of the holder as the rope and wood get pretty hot (and seem at-risk for catching fire). That said, shorter candles can get stuck to the bottom of the glass holder since it's tall. If you replace theirs with a shorter glass holder, the wood/rope will get hotter. Not a practical candle holder but would look cute with an electric candle if that's your thing.
