Q: I know you can wash the cover, but can you and how should you wash the inner weighted blanket.

A: Most of these weighted blankets - I’ve got several, but not this particular brand - *are* technically machine-washable and come with instructions for that, but would be so HEAVY when soaked in water that they would be likely to damage a home washing machine, which is why a washable cover is so useful. But if for some reason you really needed to get one cleaned, you could probably take it to a local laundromat and use one of their big heavy-duty front-loader washing machines...or before you buy, ask your local dry-cleaner(s) If they’d be willing/able to do it for you.

Q: We live in Hawaii and it can get quite warm. If I remove the cover in warmer weather will it be a little cooler while still providing good weight for sound sleep? I’m not sure whether the blanket is designed to be used without the cover. Mahalo!

Q: Is this sewn to keep the beads evenly distributed so that they don't shift all over the blanket? There are no pictures of the blanket itself to see the quilting, and the description does not address this.

Q: Is the weighted blanket itself WHITE? Because I see the cover choices, but I also see the blanket itself looks like it's a white or cream color. That would be hard to keep spot-cleaning even with a cover.

We bought this for my son who has autism we knew the weight that we needed for his height and weight and we brought it home and within a few months It had a rip in it. Because the material was not made well enough to hold the weight that's in there. It's now been I think a year or so from the date that we bought it and it's now got big huge cape and holes in it and all the weight is all on one end I'm actually going to be throwing it in the trash tomorrow. This is not the only way to blank we own we own one that was made for my son and it's great The only reason we replaced it was because it was done the style that was made more for a younger child and he's 13 now.

the only good thing about this blanket is the weighted part. other than that it’s not worth the price. this blanket produces it’s own fluffs and lint balls. I wouldn’t buy again I tossed the blanket part and kept the weighted portion.
