Experience an intense two-player struggle for supremacy in the ancient world! Designed by Antoine Bauza and Bruno Cathala, 7 Wonders Duel adapts the game play and excitement of 7 Wonders for one-on-one battles. Choose the Wonders you aim to build and guide your city through three Ages of drafting cards from cunningly shaped tableaus. Victory can be achieved in three ways: by invading your opponent's capital, by achieving a monopoly on scientific advancement, or simply by crafting the city that will earn the most victory points in the end. But be warned: only seven of the eight Wonders in play can be built. Will your city achieve greatness, or will your opponent prevent you from completing all your Wonders?

This game is fun and fast paced. It took about one round to learn all the rules and work out the kinks, and by the second round we were completing it within 45 minutes. I’m new to board games and this one was easy to learn and I really enjoyed it!

Great game that's really optimized for 2 people. Very replayable, always fun with different outcomes. Still feels a lot like 7 Wonders but also different enough to hold its own.

My boyfriend and I have played this dozens of times and even bought both expansion packs. It is pretty simple to get the hang of and has a lot of replayability.

There aren’t many 2 player games out there and definitely not any that I’ve played that are this fun! There are so many layers to this game!

It’s a little challenging to learn the mechanics without using an online video; but once you get the hang of it, the game is very fun.

Fun to play with boyfriend

I had previously played the original version of this game, and wanted something I could play with my boyfriend. It took a little bit of time to read thorough the instructions, but once we got going it was fun! The game pieces did seem to be a little bit lower quality than the original game, but it was okay.

Fun because there are many ways to win at this game and your strategy could change a couple times. There has been a few times when I was sure I won, but then my wife actually won when we counted up all the points at the end. Don't need much room for this game on the table or on the shelf.

A solid two player game. I enjoyed the decision making process and the three different ways to trigger a win condition. Watch a game playthrough prior to buying to help confirm this game is for you.

Great replayable 2 player game

Great 2 player game! Full of strategy! You've gotta watch the victory points, science collection, and military advancement. Can't tell you how many times I'm focusing too much on building up my own engine and miss they're working on military until it is too late and there is too many military cards in Age 3 and I lose. Or I am trying to win that way, and when we are flipping cards over, they're science symbols and lacking military lol. You can easily dislike 7 wonders, but like 7 wonders Duel. Lots of replayability with the different wonders you build, the different cards being played each Age, and different progress tokens in each game.

Favorite 2 player

My favorite 2 player board game. We'd tried 7 wonders first, but it was far too much going on. Reducing to just 2 players made it much more manageable & enjoyable. There's still quite a bit to keep track of so I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, but for 2 adults in quarantine - great buy.

We love games and we homeschool. This game is a fun one! My 5yo and 3yo can even play a modified version, which makes for great math practice. The game is fun with only 2 people and equally fun with a large group. The great thing about this version is that it includes reusable dry erase boards instead of paper. The only negative for me is that the dry erase markers that came in our box do not work well; at least one doesn't work at all. But, that's a minor detail, especially if you have dry erase markers laying around your house.

Interesting take on the 7 Wonders mechanic. Faster pace and get to make more decisions than the original game.
