A: Hi KZ! Even though the paperboard backing does not come with holes, you would be able to create a hole to run wires to the back.

A: If the shelves are evenly spaced, they are approximately 11-1/2" tall.

A: This bookcase cannot be separated into two separate bookcases.

A: The upper compartment on the 5-Shelf Bookcase measures 38" high and the two shelves are adjustable up and down. The lower compartment measures 24 1/4" high and that shelf is also adjustable up and down.

A: The 5-Shelf Bookcase has a weight limit of 25lbs. on each adjustable shelf, a 30lb weight limit on the middle-fixed shelf, and a 40 lb. weight limit on the very bottom.

A: The 70" 5 Shelf Bookcase is free standing, we do not recommend mounting this to the wall as it has not been designed to do so.

A: The only tools needed to assemble the Sauder 5-shelf bookcase is a No. 2 Phillips Screwdriver, and hammer. If you would like to utilize the furniture tipping restraint kit that is provided, you would need a drill and pencil.

A: There is a slight amount (below the EPA standard) in the resin used in making the engineered wood panels.

A: Sindoori Mango or Vintage Oak would be closest to a maple finish.
