Nice bookshelf, rough shipping and assembly
I like this bookshelf's design, aesthetic, and functionality. However, when I assembled it, the cam locks holding everything together were not secure enough even though they were tightened. When I got to the step where you have to flip the bookshelf over to tack on the backing board, the bookshelf bottom half separated as it was being flipped, and one of the cam lock screws ripped out of the board. I was able to fix it by pushing them together and nailing the backing on to hold everything in place, but this was a bad experience. I had previously assembled 3 of these with a friend without this issue, so I think the problem was I was assembling mine on a more plush carpet which allowed it to flex more when flipped. Still, the cam lock design is just not secure enough as proper nails and screws wouldn't allow it to flex the same amount.

Kind of pricey for what you get.
I would have thought the backing would have been a better quality than cardboard. A thin board would have been much nicer.

Nice Product
Easy to assemble and looks very good in the living room. I have put together my fair share of ready to assemble furniture before and this was by far the easiest. Also, liked to helpful hints in the instruction book giving me permission to make nachos and to take a nap because I was almost done.

Quality product at a good price.

This is an attractive product.
Shelving is used for office furniture. Putting it together is a two person job. Instructions are easy to follow but care is needed not to stress the cam and cam stems during assembly. I don't recommend using a power drill for the screws as they are made of softer metal.

Great bookcase
Was very happy with this purchase. Easy to assemble by myself. Only suggestion would be not to have screw S23 and S32 for those who are not very careful these can be mixed up.

Only one star for the fact it looked like the advertising. Incredibly cheaply made. Instructions severely lacking details with mislabeled parts in the box. Would not recommend to anyone.

The quality of the wood materials is good
BUT, Problems started with the cam dowels joining. The joints would not & could not stay together under stress with normal use. I am using "L" braces holding in place w/wood screws...even after partial reinforcement the book case is alot less wobbly & MORE stable & sturdy. The help that I got from Bret was outstanding.

Perfect & easy
My husband & I are building a home library and these shelves are perfect for our needs. We ordered 2 and have them side by side, holding books, plants, candles, & trinkets. The shelves are beautiful and were very easy to assemble.
