Bad quality, impossible to return

Warning - This is a Target Plus Partner item, not Target. Target customer service can't resolve any issues, they can only transfer you to Costway customer service. I had purchased and assembled many other bookcases, including from Target, and never had a problem. This one the wood starts to rip just from hand screwing the bolts in. The wood is thin and the bolts small. Im unable to fit it in my car so I can't return it to Target.

TIMBERRRR!!!!

This looked nice but when I realized that the whole top half was contingent on a single thin wood piece I became skeptical. I assembled it. Went to place it and yes the whole top slid off (because of the weight) that one single piece on the lower half. Every screw ripped out, locking screws went popping. It is now broken unusable and sitting in the garbage. I am not able to bring it back because it is too heavy. I do not recommend this item.

SHELF GROOVES DEFECTIVE and SHELF CRUMBLES

I was so happy to get this shelf. But at the very end of a long assembly the back panel grooves are defected. They don't line up. Also, the shelf crumbled around a screw just because we loosend to try and fit the back panels in. So I have no back. Target wants me to return it but it's already together. I think I should still get a refund for at least 50%. I wanted to show a photo but it wouldn't upload it.

Assembly was awful

The instructions were awful. I would not recommend this product. It is still not put together right. I feel like I wasted my money and will not buy this again. I apologize but I definitely regret this purchase. I knew it would be hard to assemble but I had no idea it would be this hard.

This product is horrible

This is a joke. Couldn’t get past step Three because the holes weren’t drilled on the number 8 board. Called to get a replacement they sent me another this one the holes were too deep and wide for the dowels. Called again and they want me to wrap it up and either take it back or they will pick it up. For what reason? To try to sell to another sucker? Do not purchase this.

We ordered this bookcase March 16. It was supposed to arrive March 19. but it never came then we got a delivery on March 23 four days late. We opened the fox. Five pieces were missing. Also the directions we notified your company you made a contact with costway we didn’t hear anything for two days then we heard from you that it’s on its way here. We are April 1 and we still don’t have the pots. We have a partial bookcase that we had for more than 17 days now with an empty space where it’s going both my wife and I are totally disgusted with this purchase. We will never purchase another thing from target or this company costway ! On top of that, FedEx has a bad reputation with delivering products on time we noticed, and we have evidence that it sat in there depot in several different locations for several days. I don’t know how you could use them when we get those five missing parts. We will finally be happy if they turn out to be good pieces we won’t know until we receive it but here we are April 1. Disgusted I will never ever order another product from you. One more thing we were never notified of any delays or shipping updates. It’s pretty disgusting taking this long.

Factory Mistake

Went together great except for the last two pieces. Both side walls holes drilled incorrectly so panels do not matchup. Sidewalls bows significantly if tried to force. Took apart to see if another way could be put back together better and there is not. Only one way can be assembled. Tried to redrille new holes but the alignment is so minor off that it would make peg holes too big. Took apart again to rebox and return back to store and there is a lot of pieces to assemble and breakdown. Gave it one stat because if it wasn't for the misplaced hole alignment it would of been a nice piece of furniture.

I bought this for extra storage in my closet. It’s actually pretty durable for the price, instead of that cheap cheap particle board. The shelves are a little smaller than I thought to put storage containers in, so just make sure you measure everything before you purchase.
