Buyers beware
I would have given a zero rating of if I could have. I understand building things to meet a cost but this is the absolute worst quality material I’ve ever seen. If you are not ultra careful and I mean ultra careful then the cheap particle board just tears away from any of the screw holes. Someone has got to make a similar item with better materials. Do better Target.

Kid storage
This is absolutely perfect for kid storage, it actually holds 9 cubes because you can put a cube behind the other on three of them. This held more toys then my daughters toy box and was perfect to add to the play corner in my dining room!

Toxic
I strongly advise against purchasing this item. I’ve bought many other cube organizers from Target, and they’ve all been great. However, this one in particular emits a strong chemical smell. There’s a warning label on it that says it contains formaldehyde. I’m returning this immediately!

Easy assembly
The shelf was pretty easy to assemble once we located the letters that labeled the parts. It took about 15 minutes to assemble, and one sides screws did not sit flush, so the screw covers didn’t work on that side; but it could have been error on our end. I wasn’t a fan of the one side of the shelves being deeper than the other but maybe I will over time. Overall great product.

Functional!
Only complaint I have is the little dowels were too small and would sink into particle sides. So, wouldn’t really hold on to it. Made it a little tricky during assembly. Put together in less than 15 minutes. One person to assemble. You will need a drill and a hammer. It’s sturdy. Holding a printer in our homeschool room.
