Q: How can I get the rod to tighten on the walls. It keeps slipping and not tightening. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. Help! Thx

A: Don't listen to the instructions....When installing, keep one end (finial) loose. Then, when you twist to tighten it, the rod will tighten into the finial and against the wall.

Will not stay up. Read the directions, did it exactly like it said. Fell down repeatedly. I had three other people read the directions and put it up. Same result every time. My cat would act as a better shower curtain rod. Do not recommend. Hope I am able to return it.

This curtain rod was easy as cake to install. Those who say it slips down are not reading the directions LOL! You have to twist it to lock it in place. It’s not that hard. It’s a fair price and it works with the Opal House white fringe shower curtain.

It does stay up if you put it up correctly. Once you have it extended to fit your opening, grab the fat side in your left hand and the thin side in your right hand and twist toward you at the same time. This is how you 'lock' it. I gave it three stars because it looks good but if your frustration level is as low as mine it is a pain to put up. I suggest getting the kind with the spring tension for an easier, less annoying install.

I knew when then ends had sticky tape I was in trouble. fell many times without any weight. even though economical... shouldn't mean it doesn't function. I opened the package and lost the receipt or I'll return. it's going in the landfill. I won't buy much from Target anymore

It is tricky to install because you MUST carefully follow the instructions. There is a right side and left side. You must twist as directed. It holds quite firmly if you do it correctly and looks good. I am optimistic that this won't rust and will hold up well.

I loved the simplicity and design of this bar. The down fall is we haven’t been able to twist it to be tight enough on our shower walls and the 3M tape in the ends hasn’t been strong enough to hold it up. It falls maybe 2X a week if someone is actively using the guest shower.
