I have never had a cordless stick vacuum before, but this is the only vacuum I ever want to own. It’s so easy to use and gets the job done! I love that there are a couple of different attachments I can use as well. This vacuum is a life changer for me (and my kids because it’s so simple for them to use too they’ve gotten a new chore).

Not many steps to complete and it charges up quick. It has a couple of attachments and I use those when I need them for the hand held feature. It's so nice to have different strength settings on the vacuum part. The stick lays fairly flat so I can vacuum up under my bed and couch with ease. It folds up small to charge and does not take up much space. This is a wonderful product for me and my household. My floors are staying so much cleaner and I enjoy using the light weight vacuum for all around cleaning.

I love the display of battery life, which is probably my favorite new feature. The suction power feels comparable to a larger vacuum as well. I like the PowerFins which keep hair from getting wrapped up. This is a very nice stick vacuum and can be used all over the house. It is so easy to lift and use.

I like that the vacuum is simple to set up and use. A quick glance at the unit itself and you can easily tell exactly how all the components work. I’m not much for reading manuals so I appreciate not having to look up how to do simple things like turning it on or off, emptying the bin, or switching tools. Upon first use, it didn’t take long to realize that this was a powerful vacuum with amazing suction. I was impressed at how quickly the bin became full. I have pets, and apparently they shed a bit more than I thought! I did think that the unit was a bit awkward the first few times I used it. The top part, where the battery is, is so much heavier than the base and it can make it difficult to maneuver especially on carpet. But after a while it becomes easier to use. The battery lasts quite a long time and I have yet to run out of battery while cleaning. The bin can hold a lot but since it takes only a moment to empty, I find myself emptying it frequently to ensure I’m getting the most out of each cleaning. The vacuum is easy to store as it is thin and can be tucked away in a closet or corner but I have found that the top heavy unit does fall over easily. My dogs have knocked it over several times as it was charging. I’d like to have a bracket to secure it so it doesn’t fall. Overall the vacuum is very good and I would recommend it, especially for those with pets.

There are many times I need to just vacuum a room or two. This Shark Vac doesn't have the hose to lug around. It is very easy to carry and no power cord either. My daughter has long hair and when vacuuming her room with the central vac, her hair clogs the brushes. On this Shark Vac, I am yet to get hair getting clogged in the pick up brushes. Our home has tile/carpet and hardwoods. The soft brushes on the Shark Vac make the transition very easy. No attachments need be changed. The battery lasts about 1/2+ . I never vacuum the entire house at once. Our home has many stairs. It is nice to detach the handle and vacuum the stairs. I am very pleased with the Shark Vac.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a powerful cordless! The suction ability is far greater than our previous cordless. It cleans as well as our old school corded vacuum. It is particularly good at getting dog hair up, even fine dog hair from our ShihTzu on carpet. I was really impressed by how much it picked up, even after recently running our corded vac! The downsize and why it doesn’t get 5 stars is how top heavy it is. Understably it’s because the top doubles as a hand vacuum but it’s so heavy that my hand hurt after a couple rooms and it can’t stand up on its own. When you stop to move furniture around while vacuuming you have to lean it on a wall or lay it down. I wouldn’t recommend it for someone older due to the weight of the top. The flexibility of the floor vacuum is excellent. It easily navigates around tight spaces and under furniture. The “fins” inside are much easier to clean than other cordless vacs which I have to cut hair out of, so gross. Not the case with this one! All in all a powerful and easy to use and efficient little vacuum.

Cordless means I can move around to every room even take it out to my car without worrying about where I’m plugging it in. Moves effortlessly from carpet to bare floor which is the push of a button. I can detach the floor piece easily and have the long pole to go along my baseboards, collect cobwebs up in the corners and even do my ceiling fans. Bends to go under the furniture and gets all that usually hides underneath. Being able to detach it and become a hand vac is a godsend! I can easily clean up crumbs that my child has left on the couch and pet hair off of my furniture. It does it all! Powerful suction I was so surprised how much it picked up in a short time. Easy to empty and also is washable to clean out the canister and the filter. Stays charged long enough to be able to do my whole house.

I’ve worked out the pros and cons to what I believe is an overall good, effective vacuum with a few design flaws that heavily impact its mechanical longevity and diverse use. PROS -The vacuum can be switched to hard floor and carpet with the ease of a button on the handle. So much easier than switching out the motor heads on our current vacuum. -Longer battery life which displays digitally on the vacuum’s handle. -Option to use maximum power or standard power when in use. -Easy to charge with a small plug in cord. -Can be used as a hand held vacuum and comes with a few switchable pieces for hard to reach places. -The dirt receptacle can be removed from the vacuum to dispense easily into a garbage and to be cleaned. -Wireless CONS -When upright, you must push a button that releases the arm of the vacuum to swing it down for storage when not in use. The arm is very heavy, so if you don’t have a good handle on it, it can swing down fast and cause injury. I experienced an issue with this during one of my first uses and after pressing the release button to swing the arm of the vacuum down, a piece of the hinge actually broke because the arm swung down too fast. -The handheld function is very heavy, which makes it difficult to reach high areas. We compared the weight to our stick vacuum and that one is much lighter when using it to clean a space shoulder height or higher. -Need to use maximum power to get a good clean on carpet.

This came in at the right time just when my previous vacuum of many years broke down on us which was also of the same brand I’m putting in a review for. The vacuum itself was very easy to put together. I studied the instruction book and how to care for it while I waited for the charging to complete. After a sufficient amount of charging it it was ready for use! I started off on a smaller section of my area rug and I was surprised with how much dirt it lifted off. It was super powerful and very lightweight. The amount of dirt and dust that was lifted off the carpets and hard floors was very astonishing! I have to admit that this vacuum is one of the best I have ever operated. It is very easy to use and understand with different attachments. I also vacuumed up my vehicle’s upholstery and it did a wonderful job picking up. Emptying the canister was a breeze without dust flying everywhere. I love the different features depending on the flooring and the suction power. It also has an ECO mode. It also has a way that you can bend it an angle you can reach under your sofa and bed without straining your back which is pretty convenient! It has a good handle grip and swivel to get to areas that are a little hard to get. The double roller feature is very super and it is very easy to take apart to clean up. I would highly recommend this product to everyone!! The price tag is well worth investing in. With proper care and charging this vacuum is built to go a long way and the quality is very superior and top of the line. I also want to mention I have a cat and her hair was picked up quickly!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the Shark® Vertex™ Pro Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum with DuoClean and it is truly light weight and easy to carry. My 5 year old wants to vacuum with me. Assembly was very easy, and I was impressed how nice it was packed. Each part was individually packed. I was able to assemble it without looking at the instructions. However, I recommend reading them to learn about cleaning and special features such as the attachments. It’s not as loud as a normal vacuum. The shark is great for upstairs rooms, stair and bathrooms. It does pick up a lot of dust and dirt. You do have to empty out the vacuum dirt container after a house cleaning. Also, I like that it can pick up hair about three inches away and suck it up. It’s also strong enough to suck up some stuck package tape on the carpet as I was too lazy to pick it up in my own. This dual function is also a hand vacuum by removing the handle. There are various parts like dust attachment and a narrow tube that you can attach to it for corners. The charge lasts through the entire vacuum. I also like that the charger is small and easy to pack away. We out this in the back corner of our walk-in closet and you can barely notice it’s there. I’d say on thing I did notice is that the vacuum head slightly turns off center but it’s not a big deal. This is a great vacuum for anyone especially older people that may not be able to carry or handle heavy equipment but still want to clean. I recommend this fun Shark Dual Stick Vacuum to anyone looking to considered the vacuum parts.

The box comes with the following: - Shark Vertex Pro cordless stick vacuum - Crevice tool attachment - Pet multi-tool attachment - Anti-allergen dusting brush - Battery charger - User Manual The main feature of this vacuum is the duo clean power fins - which includes a soft roller on the front and powerfins on the back - to pick up dirt and debris from both hard floors and carpeted areas. The self cleaning brushroll picks up long hair while avoiding any hair wrap. Both of these features work well and the brushroll appears relatively clean after usage. The multi-flex wand can be bent to vacuum underneath furniture or other hard to reach areas. It can be used as a hand vacuum and the attachments are helpful for a deeper cleaning around the house. The main upgrade in the Pro version is the IQ display on the vacuum that shows a real-time display of battery status, runtime, surface type, suction level, etc. Surface type can be set as carpet mode or hard floor mode. Suction level can be set as ECO mode, deep clean mode or boost mode. The vacuum does not stand upright while usage, but the multi-flex wand can be folded over for storage in an upright position. The dust cup has a large capacity and can be easily removed for emptying. The only cons I found with this cordless stick vacuum are the battery runtime and the filter maintenance. The battery runtime is listed as upto 60 minutes with the lowest suction level. However, at higher suction levels, the battery lasts for only about 10 to 15 minutes runtime. The vacuum includes a foam filter and a felt filter, both of which require periodic cleaning as a part of maintenance in order to maintain the effectiveness of the vacuum. A design avoiding the filters would have been better. Overall, the Shark Vertex Pro is a powerful & convenient cordless stick vacuum for everyday usage.

We need a vacuum that is quick and easy to grab turn on and put up and this is it! I could go on and on, the 3 suction levels are so great especially with tough messes and spills the 3rd setting the turbo will get literally anything up! The lights make it easy to see what you are doing and the carpet and hard floor setting is perfect. She easy to plug in and charge and I love that the screen tells you the battery life!
