RUTH STROTHER is an experienced author and editor who has developed dozens of books about home improvement, pet care, cooking, and children's literature. DR. SARAH STAMPS is a geophysicist at Virginia Tech's Geodesy and Tectonophysics Laboratory in the department of geosciences.
