Q: Is this compatible with adjustable bed base?
A: Hello T - We appreciate your interest in this Platform Bed. We do not recommend our standard platform beds for use with an adjustable base. We suggest instead to go with our standard bed version of this same bed. https://www.target.com/p/adaline-bed-in-boucle-threshold/-/A-89074861?preselect=88955203#lnk=sametab The adjustable frame must fit within the dimensions "between the corners" in order to work. The frame for the standard and the platform are the same. The platform just includes more parts that would not be used with an adjustable base. I hope that helps! – Joe

Q: Are the black metal lets on this bed “optional”? Could I build the bed without them?

Q: What is the weight limit for this bed? I’m trying to determine sturdiness. Also, is the frame made out of solid wood or manufactured/engineered wood?
