The wings fit around the mattress snugly and the movement of mattress can cause wear on the fabric and on the motor of the adjustable. Happy shopping at Target. – Alvin

Beautiful bed, looks higher end than it is

This bed is great, and was fairly easy to put together. Would definitely recommend having two people set it up. The fabric material is gorgeous, and bed seems sturdy. No squeaking, and our Stearns and Foster mattress fits great with no gaps. Be sure you want this bed, that doesn’t use a box spring, over the non-platform style version.
