Q: Can the shade be removed/replaced with another standard lamp shade?

A: FYI - I bought this lamp and having a VERY hard time finding a replacement shade that will fit. I believe it has a European fitter (wider than an uno), and the only shades I can find online are $$$$.
submitted byMBZ - 2 years agoA: Hello - Thank you for your question. The shade can be replaced but not with any standard shade. The shade is secured by a threaded uno fitter. So, whatever shade you replace with should have a hole at the top of the shade about the same size as the one that exists on this product. Hope that helps! - Joe

item came with tangled wires that is impossible to untangle, because the wire is in the pole, and the pole is very long. i saw another review mentioning the same exact issue. called customer service, they said it's a defect item and asked me to return.

Love the light, easy to put together. Ordered 2 of them for 2 different houses. 1 came broke. The base was in pieces. But took it back with no problem. But you would think they would uses a BLACK electric cord since it shows at top hanging down to shade. Now I have to paint it black.

I had minor troubles, putting this together due to how the cord goes through it, but I think it might’ve been more of a me issue. I typically haven’t used floor lamps in the past but our new space doesn’t have any ceiling lights so we needed some. I saw this in store and the black base and rattan shade fits my style. I am really happy with it, and how you can adjust how low you want the pendant to hang.
