Meh! Her social media notes are better

I've been a fan of Alexandra Elle's instagram account as I often found her affirmation insightful, which I frequently forwarded to my girlfriends. Her book on the second-hand was such a disappointment. The way she tells her stories was so boring, I wasn't delighted nor excited by any of the prose, and I couldn't help but think how on earth did she get a book deal. Maybe I'm starting to realise some of her views wasn't at all revelatory, just stating the obvious. I tried to push myself to finish the book, but I couldn't. Sorry to say this, I really wanted to support her but I found sentence after sentence tedious.

Loved EVERY lesson!

One of the BEST books I have ever read. Alex literally pours her heart out into this book. It was a well written and a much needed book. I am transitioning into a new decade, and the one I’m leaving behind was full of scars, unanswered questions, child traumas and heart breaks. I can say that this book was a GREAT read to end my 20’s with and begin my 30’s. If you are struggling with self love and care. Letting go of the past. Validation. THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. Get your highlighter ready. Because you will want to remember those messages.
