Utilize my terrace in the winter time in NYC

I really love this product. It allow me to utilize my terrace in the winter time. But the only thing that I wish it should have was a flooring. Because even though you tie it down the wind comes underneath and baby that thing holds air. I tied it down and I use 20 pound weights to hold it down. It worked but it still made me leery. I had a fight to take it down and I was like Mary Poppins about to blow over Central Park. It should have a floor made with the material that’s around the tent so the air can’t come underneath. Other than that it’s a great product but I can’t use it this year. Scared of the wind. My friends were loving it. Make the whole tent with the floor with the material around the bottom of it.
Great but be warned

I have had one of these for two and a half years now and have loved sitting out in it when the weather warm but raining. We have always put it away for thy winter so were surprised to notice that a number of the seams have started to come apart leaving holes. Looks like either the thread of the stitching has rotted or pulled through the plastic. When I contacted Alvantor all they could suggest was some gorilla tape. Not very helpful at all. We have managed to patch it up but feel it is a weakness in the construction and should be rectified.

Second time using my Alvantor 10’x10’ bubble tent, couldn’t use it much earlier due to unseasonably cold weather and excessive snow. Took my tent out when it was 39 F (4 C) used a heater to warm up the tent. I receive sunshine on my deck for only for a couple of hours. Warmed up my tent then turned my heater off. Was comfortable, even had to open up a door to cool it off when the sun shone on my tent. The sun warmed up the tent even though it was a max of 46 F (8 C) outside. Had to turn off my iPad because the sun heated it up it shut it down. When the sun was mostly off my tent I turned my heater back on. I am a 53 yr old 5’3” (160 cm) out of shape and overweight female and I was able to put up and take down the tent without too much trouble. The tent rods I suggest putting them in the pockets and then inserting the middle sections together while pulling the rods to the side to assemble. To take the rods down I suggest pulling the rods to the side and take the ends out of the pocket then pull them apart in their middle sections. The youtube videos to help open and close the bubble tents are useful. It would have been too cold to enjoy my deck for too long without the bubble tent. Love my bubble tent!

I can't say enough about this great bubble. I ordered it in the dead of winter and my daughters put it up in literally minutes on Easter weekend. It's a perfect little "retreat" right in your own backyard. I just ordered the floor tarp and would recommend that as part of your purchase. I ordered the bubble and here is my suggestion to make it even better- have the bubble tent with zip out doors that you can swap out with screen doors.... Great purchase, would buy it again.

I am more than satisfied with this product. It came quickly. Because of the size, we needed a ladder to install the poles that go across the top. It went up relatively quickly and it was easy to install the poles across the top. We have a small propane heater inside which keeps it comfortable. I have a bar with 4 stools and two oversized chairs in my bubble tent.

Loved it - looked so pretty for the party but it was too hot inside. I think it will be great for the winter but not summer unless there's something that can cool it down.

12x12 Bubble... It can be a bit of a handful... caution when taking it out of the bag for the first time... extra small hoops want to deploy and open with a fair amount of force... an extra pair of hands would be helpful otherwise, toss it and stand back... No problem getting it back into the bag with single fold... NO worries and NO regrets

The igloo extends our time outdoors in the winter. We have a propane heater inside. Some snow removal is necessary to keep the weight off of the top. It's a lot of fun hanging out in the igloo at night with our solar and laser lights on. Would highly recommend this product.

I love my bubble tent. My intention was to place the tent under the gazebo structure I currently have because I was worried about having to take it down when it snows. However, it makes a great extra space on my other deck, I have left the rain cover on since this November 2022 has been rainy. As you can’t tell from the video, the floor under the tent is pretty dry. I have bulky chairs that can seat 4 ppl plus a recliner lounger along with a square fire pit. Comfortable I can fit 6-8 ppl if I have remove the lounger and get slimmer chairs. When the fire pit is on, the “igloo” gets warm and even too hot from the area of the fire and above. (If you want warmth around the legs then get a fit pit, heater or something that sits lower so that heat rises from that point. When the sun is out, since it faces the sun directly, it gets too hot almost like a greenhouse effect. It does have small window -like zipper openings above the actual opening. Watch your step when going in or out because the opening does not sit low tot he ground, you have to step over. It definitely keeps the rain off, and the wind at bay. It takes less than 15 mins to set up after the first time. Definitely move out of the way when it initially is released from the straps, I thought I was cleared and felt like I got hit in the face. I did follow the directions and even kept it indoors for a few days to make sure the plastic was not brittle. There are a few videos of people putting it up. I was ready with one 5lbs of sand and filled up the provided sand bags, and tied the tent to my deck as best as possible along with the rest of the directions. My family and friends love it. I did not buy the tarp underneath since it was going on a deck or the lights since I have hanging lights already, maybe in the future I will spruce it up.
