I mailed my sample the first week in May. I thought it was lost, so I opened a claim with the post office. One month after mailing it, Ancestry began working on it. Here we are, nearly in July, and NOTHING.

### Disappointed with Ancestry DNA I recently tried Ancestry DNA. While the process was smooth and easy, the results were disappointing. The information was vague and lacked detail, offering little benefit or new insights into my heritage. Overall, despite the seamless process, the lack of detailed results made it a letdown.

As expected and quick delivery

This was purchased as a gift and was delivered with no packing. The label was put directly on the ancestry packaging making it unable to be removed without destroying the product so it is not able to be gifted or returned and used by someone else.

My daughter was so excited to use this and both sides of her lineage were in fact correct. Great gift to give to anyone and even for your self. It was easy to use and results didn’t take too long. My parents are both deceased, I’m eager to learn more and hoping to see connections if distant relatives on the family tree it will create.

I think this product is super easy to use and is a fun gift idea! Who wouldn’t want to know their DNA? I was so excited to finally find out everything i was made of and it didn’t take long to do!

Super easy to use, it does take a LONG time to get results back but very in depth analysis. Instructions are simple

Bought as a Christmas gift for my mom. The process was easy and once you send back your sample, you’re updated on the progress until your report is ready. Really interesting results.

Easy to use and great information

I gifted one to my husband (who is in search of his bio dad's family), and bought another for myself just for fun! He loved the gift, and we are excitedly waiting for results. The tests were very easy to use, just spit or drool into a little tube to the fill line, twist on the cap, and ship it off in the pre paid mailer. You do need to download an app on your phone for this, so that's worth noting, but it was an easy process!

Overall have purchased 12, and will likely be going for more as soon as I can. It’s well worth it. It is very interesting to see what ethnicities people have. It is important to understand that ethnicities and DNA are randomly passed. You might not inherit what you thought you would from your parents and it’s completely possible that they don’t even know the full extent. For example, one of the tests we did was for a woman who believed she was German and Scottish. Surprise, she was Polish, Scottish, Irish, and Norwegian. People can’t get mad that their DNA that was passed down over generations doesn’t match up what they are expecting. It is about where they were, not where they ended up. My other friend got a new dad and five siblings. Another solved a hundred year old mystery regarding the identity of their great grandfather. And, no, your great great grandmother wasn’t a Cherokee Princess. They didn’t have princesses.

It says my brown eyed, dark haired daughter, who looks just like Pocahontas, is of Swedish descent!!

Great gift at a great price

Worth it! You get to see if people are related to you, identify the regions of your heritage and as more people join ancestry, the gene pool expands. This can lead you to lineages you weren’t aware you had. I buy these as gifts :).
