I ABSOLUTELY love Anesthesia with Nurse Nee Nee. Katina has captured the special
nuances of Pediatric Anesthesia in a very loving and thorough manner. As a fellow CRNA with 45 years of experience, I am thrilled that I have this book to share with my granddaughters. All of their questions have been answered here. Their parents will now have this wonderful guide to help themselves and the girls through this anxiety-provoking situation. The colors are great. The pictures are on point. The alphabet and words and the step-by-step explanation of the process have been done so very well. I wish this had been available years ago, however, Divine timing is perfect for now. I'm so proud of my colleague. Very well done Dr. Katina.

I opened my copy as soon as it arrived and was drawn immediately to the characters. Had read its entirety before I sat it down. Great job Dr. Katina Currin. As a mother of 4, a teacher, and a parent of a child who has had to have surgery, I'm telling you, this book is a MUST READ! Nurse Nee Nee does a beautiful job of teaching children what to expect on the day of surgery. I love how easy it was to read and how engaged my 4-year old was with the text! She was answering and asking questions throughout. Even though this book is written for children, it's a gem for adults as well: -) Now, that's a great read!

This book is a great resource for parents and children undergoing any kind of surgical or medical procedures. It is informative, yet written in a simple language, easy enough for my 5 and 7 year old boys to understand. They were following the commands and practicing the vocabulary. Now they know what their tonsils and uvula are for ☺️ illustrations are also great and helped keep the kids engaged throughout the book. Definitely a must have for any household!
