Q&A(4)

Q: Is this a gluten free product?

submitted by joanster5 - 3 years ago
  • A: These are not currently gluten-free. All gluten-free products will have a 'gluten-free' label on the packaging, so we recommend looking for this whenever you are shopping. Thanks for the question!

Q: Are these cinnamon rolls processed on the same lines using peanuts or treenuts?

submitted by SleepyMom - 1 month ago
  • A: At Annie’s we treat food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions with the utmost importance. For the most accurate, up-to-date allergen information, please refer to the ingredient statement on the package as ingredients or manufacturing facilities can change. Our products are labeled for the following Top 9 allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, crustaceans, fish, and sesame. In addition, we label for mollusks. We label for these allergens using ‘CONTAINS’ and/or ‘MAY CONTAIN’ lists located directly below the product’s ingredient list. ‘CONTAINS’ means that the allergen(s) is included in the product’s recipe. The allergen(s) will be listed in the ingredient list and in the ‘CONTAINS’ statement just below the ingredient list. ‘MAY CONTAIN’ or ‘Made on Shared Equipment’ means that the allergen(s) is not in the product’s recipe but could be present as result of the manufacturing process regardless of our best efforts to exclude it. These allergens will not be included in the ingredient list. Both ‘CONTAINS’ and ‘MAY CONTAIN’ mean that if you are sensitive to the specific allergen(s) in the list, no matter which way it is listed, you should avoid this product. If peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, crustaceans, fish, sesame, and mollusks are not listed in the ‘CONTAINS’ or ‘MAY CONTAIN’ list, it’s because there is none in the product and there is no risk of cross-contact with these allergens at any stage of production, from the farm through product packaging. All our manufacturing facilities have complete, documented and audited food safety programs that include the handling and processing of the aforementioned top nine allergens plus mollusks. To prevent cross-contact, ingredients containing allergens are marked and segregated. Mixing, batching, and packaging processes are fully documented and audited to prevent cross-contact during the manufacturing process. We also conduct an allergen clean after handling any allergen. Please note that ingredient and allergen information on the product package is for the package in hand. It is not intended for other packages of the same product. Ingredients may vary from one package to another due to product reformulation. If you have allergy concerns, please carefully read the ingredient information on each package.
