SO SHOCKED Inappropriate language and phyical violence
I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter as she came home from school singing one of the songs. It has been a few years since I watched the movie and at one point I checked in with her watching it to hear swearing and a man hitting a woman. WOW. I immediately turned it off. That is NOT acceptable and should not be tolerated. Seeing this in a "kids" movie is very disturbing. We cannot desensitize children from violence - it is not acceptable. We need to tell children this is not behavior to EVER allow.

Almost-5-year-old loves this movie!
It had been years since I saw this film, and wasn't sure how my almost-5-year-old would respond to it. Well, she loved it. The part where Annie nearly plummets from the bridge is scary for all of us, but, really, daughter loves it and I fell back in love with it. This story is intense at times, but has sparked a number of really interesting conversations with our little one about the Great Depression as well as wealth and poverty. And, wow, the singing and dancing is just fantastic! So happy to have found it at Target and at such an affordable price. Also, the DVD worked great – no issues.

Annie
A little slow at the start for my girls ages 7-10, but we stuck with it and all three girls and myself really enjoyed watching it. Well worth the Target price of $5.

Great movie and great buy
I have always loved this movie. It came on time and in great condition. My three year old now loves this movie like I did as a small child (and now).
