Apple products self life has gone down. Purchased these in May 2025 and already needs to be taken to the Apple Store due to a software defect which interrupts its ability to pair to any device. I’d highly advise you to get a protection plan on these.

These are the worst headphones I have ever used. The noise cancellation feature makes me nauseous and the sound quality is terrible! When you’re using them for phone calls, people on the other end say it sounds like you’re in an aquarium. I’ve tried using the different noise cancellation settings and nothing seems to help the situation. I wanted to return them but the window was only 14 days from purchase. I can’t believe Apple made such a horrendous product.

I have been using the gen 2 AirPods for those times when I need to be able to hear what's going on around me. They're decent for listening to music, but not great. After the price for the AirPods 4 was recently lowered, I jumped on a deal and purchased them (with ANC) hoping that they would offer a better listening experience while still being transparent enough for me to remain aware of my surroundings. They definitely produce better base and have a fuller sound overall. They're not on par with a good pair of in-ear earbuds, but that’s due to their open design. The ANC is effective, depending on the type of noise you are dealing with. Not sure ANC is necessary though since the reason many people buy open-ear earbuds is to be able to hear what's taking place around them. Some ambient noise should be expected, but to each their own. My biggest concern was how well they would fit, having tried the AirPods 3 which turned out to be too bulky for my ears. Happily, the 4's do fit my ears quite well. I haven’t had any problems with them falling out. There are many other good open-ear earbuds out there to choose from, but at the reduced price and given how well they work within the Apple ecosystem, I had to go with the Airpods 4. They are a nice upgrade to the AirPods 2.

I love my air pods. This is the first time to own a new pair. I always got my sons old ones so when I put them in the first time, they sounded amazing. I ordered these online because the young people in the store at Alabaster Alabama were too busy talking and on their phones to help me. I even asked for help. But they acted like they couldn't be bothered with helping me. I went to the store 3 times and finally just ordered them online. Air Pods excellent but customer service in store was terrible. Do better Alsbaster, Target! Do better!
