Q: Does it matter the size of the SD card? I have a 64 GB SD card and not sure if it’s too small for the reader or if it fits all sizes up to a certain size.

I knew I needed this unlike the other reviewers. It’s an SD card reader for Apple. Not complicated. Maybe most of you should stick to Windows PC’s if you’re upset you need this.

SD port

If you take photos or use an SD card regularly, this is just an extension you need because Apple refuses to put normal ports on their computers. I’ve had it several months and no issues.

Functional, but not perfect

I purchased this to use to import photos to Lightroom on my 2020 Macbook Pro. It only has 4 Thunderbolt ports - no card reader. I have to use it in conjunction with an Anker USB to USB-C converter. Lightroom does not recognize it to import in photos. I have to copy the photo file to my desktop and then point to my desktop to import the photos. It gets the job done, but I would prefer to not have to copy gigs of data to my desktop when the ultimate destination is an external hard drive. It gets the job done, but I wish it worked directly on my Macbook Pro.
