Gross bone and tendon pieces
The recipe has changed and not for the better. There’s always tendon and large fat pieces that absolutely gross me out. My family would go through a few boxes a week but now we can’t even eat them… it’s sad because the taste was great.

They changed taste and texture and added massive amounts of pepper. I used to love it and buy couple bags a week. Now I hate the taste. I will stop buying this!

Good Breakfast Sausage but why the price increase?
We enjoy these Chicken and Maple breakfast sausages usually every Sunday for breakfast and have for years. But, I am compelled to ask why the price increase from ~$11+ to ~$13+ for a bag, AND the bags sizes got smaller, went from 20 oz to 16 oz!!! Come on!! We might look for another breakfast sausage now.

My family used to love Applegate's chicken maple sausage links but "the maple taste we loved is now MISSING" and the sausage now tastes like every other brand on the market. Please go back to your former recipe.

What happened to cause Applegate Farms to decrease quality?
This was my go-to breakfast sausage for my family. I didn't purchase in a while and just bought 3 boxes. My entire family will not eat them! The sensation of biting into fat globules instead of a moist, lean, delicious sausage was disappointing. Not to mention I paid almost $6 for each box. Raising prices AND lowering quality is not ok from Applegate - I used to hold you to a higher standard but you have lost my business along with my trust.

Cartilage and Bone...
Flavor isn't bad. The texture is sometimes ok. Based on the package I bought, one in three sausages will have either small (around 3mm) pieces of bone or pieces of cartilage. Those pieces of miscellaneous parts just ruins it. Won't be buying again.

I've been eating these since I first noticed them in the supermarket years ago. Never had any gristle or spongy texture. Always tastes great. I've purchased them in Boston, Baltimore and California and the quality is consistent. I used to make my own chicken sausage, but these are much more convenient.
