Mariann Edgar Budde es la obispa y líder espiritual de la Diócesis Episcopal de Washing-ton y la Catedral Nacional de Washington. Es la primera mujer en ocupar este cargo. Antes de su elección en 2011, fue sacerdote parroquial en Minneapolis durante 18 años. Es defensora y promotora de temas en materia de justicia como la equidad racial, la prevención de la violencia armada, la reforma migratoria y la plena inclusión de las personas lgbtq+.
