For cutting non delicates it worked fine. I may have been unlucky and didn't get a sharp one and may have to use my chefs steel to do the job correctly. I love the handle.

While I'm a fairly average knife user, I do know a little bit about what I'm looking for: Quality craftsmanship, a comfortable handle, and efficiency doing what it's supposed to do. This knife checks the boxes, but comes at a pretty high price compared to a lot of big box store options. I will say, I think the tradeoff for price and craftsmanship is worth it and I'm going to trust that Arcos knows what it's doing. The knife is well-balanced and comfortable to hold. It looks like it will hold up well for many years and repeated sharpenings and the materials appear to be high quality. (Though only time will tell. actually, I've never had a knife just "fall apart" but some of them show wear and tear quickly. but I digress...) The knife came sharp and ready to cut and felt sturdy and steady with an apple. The one drawback is the price, but it comes with a ten-year warranty so that might help encourage some to have faith the investment is worthwhile

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This knife is very light, but has a sharp bite. It is very easy to clean and fits in my knife block easily with my steak knives. The one thing I wish it came with is a knife sheath in case I wanted to keep it in my drawer. Other than that, it is a great knife.

The handle is not awkward to hold. My only issue was there were not any care instructions in regards to being dishwasher safe or hand wash only. However I would definitely buy from this range of knives again.
