I am 76 years-old and I have only use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in my baking recipes for years and years. The last box of A&H ruined my batch of Cranberry Orange Christmas cookies. What have they done to their formula? I purchased that A&H on 11/19/2025 and it was as hard as a brick (as were the others on the shelf!) and had to be crushed before being able to measure it. After the cookies were done and tasted, they were so salty we had to throw them away! I did not measure anything incorrectly and had made a batch on 12/2/2025 that were perfect. This was the first time I used this box of baking soda. I am afraid to make anymore holiday cookies with A&H Pure Baking Soda.

The zipper seal actually closes well, so the baking soda stays fresh and doesn’t spill everywhere in my cabinet. I use it for a little bit of everything: cleaning, deodorizing the fridge, laundry boost, and sometimes baking. It’s affordable, lasts a long time, and works exactly how it’s supposed to. If you go through baking soda regularly, the resealable bag is definitely worth it.

Man I use this stuff in that sprinkle can thing to deodorize mattresses, carpet, couches, etc. It’s effective let it sit for 24-48hrs then vacuum it on up. Works.

With the box, I always found myself using a Ziploc bag to store it, especially since I use baking soda for so many different things. The box works fine if you’re only keeping it in the refrigerator as an odor absorber, but for everyday multipurpose use around the house, the sealable bag is more convenient. I use Arm & Hammer for baking cookies, freshening my fridge, and all kinds of household tasks, and the resealable bag just keeps everything cleaner, fresher, and easier to manage. Definitely my preferred packaging from now on!
