Love this small sponge and am waiting for the larger one I also ordered!

I finally decided to splurge and buy one of the larger natural sponges as it seemed like the synthetic ones never held up for more than one season. I figured that the steep price tag would be worth it for a more durable sponge. At first I loved this sponge- I could actually get the soap and water out of it after a bath, unlike the synthetic ones which seem perpetually soapy and wet. After a couple of baths, however, the sponge started ripping in half and by the end of the season it was literally disintegrating in my hand and leaving little bits of sponge all over my horse. I used the sponge less than 10 times to give baths to one horse at home only, so I am incredibly disappointed!!! For nearly $20, I expected it hold up for years, not months! I have the smaller size for tack cleaning, and those have held up well, so I am at a loss as to why the larger one would be so much less durable. I will definitely be going to back to synthetic after this!

The natural sponge I ordered in large is larger than any I have found anywhere and the quality is great!

I lost my other bath sponge and now I am glad I did. This soaked up the water and my horse got a great bath.

I have used this several times. The it has held up much better than other sponges I have used.

I use this for my horse's body and the smaller version for his face and small areas around his feet. Both are wonderful because they are natural, absorb the shampoo and distribute it evenly, and then dry quickly after the bath. They are soft and feel luxurious!! Just bought a new large sponge to replace one that had worn out after several years of use.

I have one guy that hates to have his face washed. I've tried all kinds of things and none of them were a hit. But he LOVES this sponge. He closes his eyes and really enjoys the experience. I like it too because it fits in my hand so well and it rinses out easily. I highly recommend it!

I bought this to use on my mares legs because they get open sores from fly bites and I wanted something gentle and natural. It's a nice quality sponge and is exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the small one and I fill a bucket with a gentle soap and sponge off her legs when she comes in from the pasture.

This my second time buying this sponge and only because someone "borrowed" my last one. This sponge softened up and is a helpful bath time tool.

You just can't improve on a classic. This sponge can be rung out to barely wet, perfect for tack. It is soft & lasts much longer than the synthetic sponges.

The best sponge for tack cleaning, and will outlast the manmade sponges.

Love the natural sponges Because they last forever with out falling apart. It is easier to get the soap and water squeezed out. Soft and manageable when wet.

It smelled a bit when it first came out of the package, but that has since gone away. This sponge works great for bathing and has help up perfectly!

I bought this because one of my doggies keeps running off with and tearing up my sponges. I loved using this sponge for the 1 time I did get to use it, before she found it as well :(

These look better, since they are all unique, and are more effective than the synthetic sponges. I use the small one for tack (works better than a microfiber rag for me) and the large one to sponge down my horse after a ride (or before if getting off some dust so my saddle pad doesn't get too dirty). I also use it to rinse his face since he hates water shooting out of a hose around in his eyes. Yes, they cost more but we all have things we think are worth splurging and being more careful with and these sponges are one of those for me ;)

Doesn't look like the picture at all. Also not a very "natural" looking sponge as it is bright yellow. However, overall it's taken quite a beating as I use it everyday on both horses whether it be liniment rinses or general bathing.

I bought this for baths and am happy I did. The size is good, i.e. easy to hold. It holds a lot of water and rinses well.

OK - so its the little things that count ... this is such an affordable item, but well worth the "little splurge" - love it for tack cleaning (and leather seat cleaning) etc, etc
