Initial setup a hassle; had to hardwire one router at a time to old network for FW update to complete. Web interface looks nice but had to use phone app to complete setup. Advanced options not always obvious, have to hunt through multiple menus in app. Once set up works great, provides high speed with no dead spots in our 4500'sq house that has ducts and multiple floors that challenged my old routers.

Easy to setup and work as expected for new devices but doesn’t work with older 2.4ghz devices (generac generator). This was the whole point of setting up the mesh network. That is the reason I took off 1 star

Previously had a RT-N66R router that worked wonderfully for years. Decided to upgrade to the XT9 and within 6 months I needed to send it in for a repair because the node stopped working. Hoping this was a one-off issue.

Works great but was a bit difficult to setup beyond basic wifi. These have some great features like VPN, file serving from attached USB storage, and additional security capabilities. But the app based setup and the quick start guide are pretty focused on just the wifi features.

I just installed the ZenWiFi XT9 with 1 router and 1 extender. I has addressed all of the problems that I had with the 2 mesh "Whole Home" WiFi Mesh that my ISP provided, coverage and speed for devices connected to the second node.

Great product. Bought these for my home to increase the internet footprint strength throughout my home. Works like a champ thus far. Setup was fairly straightforward and easy. Would highly recommend these for those struggling with weak signal in certain places in their home/office etc.

I used these as my AIMesh routers with the Asus GT-AXE 16000 and I'm very impressed with coverage for my entire house. Setting them up is very easy either through the Web GUI or the phone app. It did not take long at all. I also have wired devices connected to them in my second floor and the connection is superb. I recommend these highly as an AIMesh partner to an awesome Asus router.

After months of hearing complaints about our home networks slowness, I decided an upgrade was due. After comparing the options I chose ASUS XenWifi because of the wired or wireless backhaul options, number of WiFi network channels, and compatibility of various devices on our home network. I wanted some control of network option but since I’m not a network engineer, I didn’t want to have to fiddle with lots of settings just to get things running. I wanted the ability to leverage my home’s existing CAT5/6 wiring for the backhaul and ASUS support documentation gave me clear instructions on how to do that. The only detractor so far after ~3 months of use, I had to manually update the device list based on MAC addresses so I could see which devices are actually connected.

Easy to set up. I was happy enough that wireless speeds were double in parts of the house that were slower with my old router. Then I switched from the 2.4Ghz to the 5GHz network and suddenly got wireless speeds as fast everywhere (10x what I got before in some cases) as my hardwired connection to the main computer.

We are creating an office in our daylight basement on far end of house. Our old router wasn’t getting us consistent coverage, so we purchased this mesh system, which has been working great. One flaw was that the app for some reason was not working for setup, but it was still relatively easy.
