A: Hello Chase! You should see results after one application. This product has a temporary instant bronzer to help ensure even coverage during application. Sunless results start to form after two hours and will continue to deepen over the next 24 hours. Wait at least two hours after application before bathing. If desired results are not achieved after 24 hours, repeat the application process. To avoid staining, wash hands after applying the product, focusing on the palms of hands.

Q: Did you change the formula? I loved this in the past, it was like a lotion, the last time I got it, it was much more runny, smelled differently and very streaky, not at all the same product I had used previously. Did I just get a bad bottle?

This product is the BEST Sunless Tan Lotion, EVER! I have tried many other brands throughout the years but they do not compare! It goes on smoothly; doesn’t streak and the color is very good (not “orange”) looking! Love, Love, Love this product!

Old Formula Much Better!
I have bought this product for years (we are talking 30+ tubes). The new formula pales in comparison to the old formula. The texture is more gel-like, which makes it much harder to spread. It also has much more of orange tone vs the caramel color of the old formula and the smell is much stronger. Not sure why the formula changed but I really hope it changes back.

Smells horrible
I don't know if I got a bad batch of this, but the one I bought smelled terrible. I put it on my whole body despite the smell, waited a bit to get dressed, got ready and went to work. The smell made me nauseated and I had a headache the whole day. I threw the tube away. I've washed the pants I wore that day three times and I can still smell the lotion.

I’ve tried sooo many self tanners over the years. I’m very experienced when it comes to tanning my body as I’ve done this for years-not my first time. With that being said, this product gives a good color, but it’s VERY-VERY hard to blend!! You cannot overlap this product otherwise it WILL get blotchy! Overlap I mean by, where you end your one arm/leg, if you try to blend the two lines together they get blotchy and the color sits on top of the skin no matter what! I hope and pray this rinses off okay, I will update later but this is not a lotion, it’s a GEL and it applies worse than the mousse. That’s way better in my opinion! It also sinks into your pores so my legs look like they have little tiny dots and this is after I shaved my legs the night before! I used the St. Moritz tanning mitt to apply.

I have tried several tanners and this is my favorite so far. I used straight out of the bottle for a base tan and then mix it with lotion and apply daily to maintain it. It smells good going on and doesn’t get as stinky later as most tanners do.

Good but not the greatest!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for a little and the issues I had with it are as follows: -Need to use 2 applications to get a defined color -The color that does show is rather orange Now I'm not the type of girl to complain about the color of my tan, I'd rather be anything than pale to be honest, but the color of this instant tan was rather orange. It also took a bit for the color to appear too. BUT the color faded beautifully, there was no streakiness or patchiness of any kind as I have experienced with other tanners. I work out 6 days a week so I expected to see color transfer from my sweat to clothes and the color moving around and patching up and I did not see any of that! I was honestly impressed! Again, the color wasn't the best but this was a long lasting product with a beautiful fade.

LOVE IT!
NO ODOR! Smells great even after it develops. This is the best sunless lotion that I’ve tried! Goes on very evenly and has natural color. I tell everyone about this lotion. There are some complaints that it isn’t “instant”.... well it develops over 6 hrs like any other self tanner. It’s called instant because it’s not a gradual tanner, like Jergens.

I bought this lotion thinking the title actually meant what it said however after applying it to a small area of my body three hours later I still see no results. The reviews claim the next morning is when it really sets in so shouldn’t the title on the bottle be ..”next morning sunless lotion” not instant sunless lotion. As of now I’m giving this product a one star as I will wait till tomorrow morning to see if there’s any change. Also the smell is a bit overwhelming.

Love it!
I have used many sunless tanners. I used a daily gradual for years but got tired of using everday. I have used australian gold gradual and liked it so decided to try this one due to the tropical smell. I have used it 3 times now and love it. I exfoliate with a washcloth and apply a barrier lotion to hairline, knees, elbows and ankles. Gloves to apply and I have a mit that I go over with to make sure no streaks. I have also done 1 time without exfoliating 5 days after the initial use and it still worked really well. I usually just put on and leave for atleast 2 hours then shower. It gives you a nice color instantly but the really tan shows up in the morning. Occasionally I may have an area that isn't as tan and I just apply a little to that area and all good. I think you can apply more than one time if you want darker but I am fair skin and this works great for me. Last for atleast 5 days.
