Q: I opened the bottle and these pills smelled bad to me; definitely not like cranberry in any way. I’m afraid to use them because I think they might have spoiled. I’ve never used these before, what do they normally smell like?

Missing Bacillus ingredient
These softens are missing a key ingredient that’s in the boxed tablets. Bacillus is not in these and they don’t work like the boxed tablets. What’s weird is they have the same name yet they’re not the same. I have always used the boxed tablets any time I’ve felt a uti coming and as soon as I drank the tablets I’d have no pain next time. The soft gels I have taken twice when I’ve felt a uti and they don’t steer away the uti. I still experience pain. Whatever the bacillus ingredient does is what’s missing.

Dear Leslie, It is correct that this product does not contain the bacillus coagulens which is in the AZO Cranberry Caplets. The AZO Cranberry Softgels do not have the exact same ingredients. It should be noted, though, that this product is much more of a daily protective product, than a product to treat or cure an incoming UTI, so it's to be expected that it may not help much if you actually have one or feel one coming on. Allergic reaction
It was working but something in them caused me to have an allergic reaction, hives all over my body, swelling of the face eyes and throat. Please please please read the ingredients and check with a doctor before starting these.

Support for urinary tract
I take this as an additional support with my d-mannose supplement. I'm not sure if it's made any difference beyond what the dmannose does but it's doesn't hurt anything so ill keep taking it. I've tried both the tablets and gel tabs. I like the gel tabs better. Easier to swallow and no after taste.

Too hard and too big
