Its a clever idea and i like it for my 8 yr old daughter who loves Barbies and math/science/building...but the instructions are a bit kludgey and several of the pieces were tricky to snap together. It was more of a mother-daughter activity to accomplish the task. But was neat in the end to build a m...see moreof the reviewer's review

Children will need parents to help everytime in order to enjoy. Too advanced for little ones. Poorly designed. Bad product.

Terrible product! First of all, unless your child is 13 yrs old they will not enjoy this item due to the 100+ pieces used to put this together. The directions are not the easiest to understand either. Too much going on with this toy and the STEM book that shows the experiments will definitely requir...see moreof the reviewer's review

I guess I agree that the projects could have been less stereotypical of women's interests. However my daughter who is very girly enjoyed working on the projects with me. She was so super excited to make the clothes from the patterns and learn how to build the gears in motion items. IT IS Barbie s...see moreof the reviewer's review

So, in the world of fashionista Barbies, grocery shopping Barbies, and various versions of cooking/baking Barbies, is this a new style for Barbie? Is this the Barbie for the children who want to pretend to be scientists and engineers? Sadly, not really. This Barbie gets gets to build projects suc...see moreof the reviewer's review

First, the age range for this is way off. An 8 year old may be able to build the machines using the provided directions, any younger and there is not a chance. Second, the first machine we went to build was the spinning closet- the plastic belt that goes around the gears is made poorly and as soon a...see moreof the reviewer's review
