The soles are "waffley" with those diamond shaped cavities that I can feel right through fluffy liner since I first put them on. They are not good for standing too long in the kitchen, but they do keep my feet nice and warm.

Very soft and Warm. Plus the slippers are solid- no tripping or feet coming out . Wear a 8 1/2 normally and I ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly.

Was looking for a nice slipper to keep my toes warm -- (They can literally feel cold as ice! #foreignersong -- haha). Nothing I would wear could keep them warm (not even nice, thick wool socks). Thought I'd try these b/c of the wool lining and suede upper. They do keep my toes pretty warm, however, b/c these are backless, my heels get cold. The fit is good though -- I usually wear an 8, and after reading the reviews, decided to buy that size, and they fit perfect! Also, just for reference: My feet are somewhat wide, and these fit good in that aspect too (even WITH socks)! The only downfall is the backs. I want something to wear while lying in bed reading or watching tv (b/4 I get under the covers), so a more flexible shoe would have been preferred. However, these are a keeper (unless I can find a similar pair that have a back to them).

In the past, I have ordered LLBean wicked good slippers. The quality has been slipping over the years, while the prices went up. These slippers are well made and very cozy. Quality much better than the wicked good. Size was nomal.
