Description
The Behringer Radar Eurorack module brings new dimensions of tactile control to modular synth setup. With the Radar, tapping and scratching its textured surface generates signals that can patch into any other module to create own bangs, drones, sweeps and other original sound effects. Whether 're producing cosmic ambient textures or industrial rhythms, the Behringer Radar synth module adds an intuitive hands-on element that invites experimentation.
Turn Taps and Scratches Into Custom Sound Effects
At the heart of the Radar is its contact microphone, conveniently located right on the textured surface. Simply tap or scratch the radar to produce signals can route into any other Eurorack module. Dial in echo or delay to make otherworldly drones and textures. Add filtering for sweeps and swells. The possibilities are limited only by imagination and patch cables. The sensitive pickup captures even subtle taps and scrapes, converting them into tactile control voltages ripe for sound design.
Harness Ambient Noises With the Onboard Pickup
The Radar's highly responsive pickup also detects surrounding acoustic activity, whether it's a knock on Eurorack case or a snare drum hit across the room. These sounds can be transformed into gate signals to trigger envelopes and sequences. Turn that drum beat into a tempo-synced LFO. Make cabinet rattles into spaced-out bloops. For even more creative options, convert ambient noises into envelope signals to control filters, oscillators and more.
Integrate Into Any Modular Setup
Compact and Eurorack-compatible, the Radar module can be mounted in standard cases alongside other modules, becoming part of a larger instrument. Just secure it with the included screws and connect power to integrate Radar into more extensive patches. Combining its hands-on control with oscillators, filters, sequencers and effects opens up new means of modulation and sound manipulation. Radar also includes CV/gate connections for controlling vintage synths and other external instruments.
Intuitive Controls Provide Sonic Shaping
Radar puts sound-shaping control at fingertips. The Gate Sensitivity switch selects the right threshold for ambient sounds to trigger the gate. Tailor the envelope response with Attack and Decay switches. A simple lat keeps Radar intuitive even in complex patches. Transforming physical gestures into sound is as easy as tweaking a few switches. Radar makes modular synthesis more interactive and personalized.
