I did love these…. At first. I only hand wash these after my son comes home from daycare. Why did these mold in just a few months, if that? Who wants their child exposed to mold ESPECIALLY when it comes to eating????? Not me. -10000 review

Waste of money. Bought it for my wife to use as a lunch box. She won’t use it because it’s not microwave safe. I didn’t find this out till it was too late to return.

While the complete Bentgo Fresh lunch box should not be placed in the microwave, you can simply remove the tray and microwave it. Please remove the lid before heating and do not microwave the tray for more than 3 minutes. Not durable
I bought 2 of these a few months ago before school started, and they have lasted exactly 2 weeks of school. My oldest sons broke after another kid accidentally pushed it off the desk and the second broke shortly after. I do love the size and wish they would have lasted longer.

It is not stain and odor resistant and also I received in dune color. moonlight is missing. I would recommend to buy other brands.

These are durable, easy to clean, and will not leak! They fit the right amount of food for my 8 and 7 year old. I wish this 2-pack came in vibrant colors/designs, but my kids were fine to decorate them with stickers instead.

I used to buy this lunch box, but the two last that I bought leak a lot, and the sealers get broken. I bought it in September, and now (January) it is broken. Don’t buy it. It is of poor quality. I bought another one in the past and got mold.

Not for kids
I’ll start off by saying I received this item from target drive up & it was used and dirty upon opening. That was extremely disappointing and gross. Do better target. As far as the quality of the item, it was just okay. I bought to use for my son’s lunches. I have other bento boxes that are specifically for kids. I thought I’d try these out seeing as they are 2 for the price of 1. These are not suitable for a child (in my opinion). The latches are hard to line up and require a bit of maneuvering to close all the way. My 7yr old would not have the patience for this and it would defeat the purpose of having a “no spill” seal.

I’ve been using them for a few days and so far they are great. Enough room for a filling meal. It is spill proof, I can put it in my work bag without any concerns. The clear tops help to store the other trays with meals in the fridge until I need to put it into the bento case.

They get moldy
I purchased my Bentgo lunch boxes in February, and after only seven months of use, three out of the four have developed mold in the rubber lining. I always hand wash them and allow them to dry completely before storing, so I have taken great care in their maintenance. Despite this, the mold appeared, which is concerning from both a quality and safety perspective. I expected better durability and longevity and unfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing.

Noce but not a critical need
Great lunchboxes other than the fact they are NOT leak proof. Definitely only put dry goods, fruits and veggies that aren’t super juicy, and sandwiches in these. Don’t love the fact the outer shell is hand wash “recommended”. If you’re currently using standard storage containers as lunchboxes, these will take up more space in your bag/backpack so be prepared to sacrifice space for aesthetics. Overall, I like these for the portioning and durability aspect. Certainly not something you NEED in your life but if it makes you happy, go for it!

This has helped me make the switch to meal prepping and packing lunches. It is leakproof and easy to throw in the top rack of the dishwasher. I love how I can take the divider out of the left side to put an ice pack there to keep things cool. I doubted needing the two pack but it’s nice to have one in the wash and one on deck.
