The Bentgo Bowl is primarily made from food-grade ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and polypropylene (PP) plastic. While the bowl itself is plastic, it features vacuum-insulated stainless steel technology within its double-walled construction to help keep food warm or cool. Because it contains stainless steel insulation, it may be detected by a metal detector. The Bentgo Bowl is also not microwave safe due to the insulated construction. Q: if you can't heat your food up what's the point of taking soup especially if you have to wait 6hrs till lunch time then its cold
