Q: Hi I just need a simple answer. I'm ordering some garden soil for my 8' x 4' x 2' raised bed. The bags are 2 cu ft each. How many bags do I need??? I keep getting different answers!

A: Total amount will vary depending on individual potting/planting needs. Tomatoes, for example will require more dirt as their roots grow long and deep. It's best to consult local nursery or garden retailer for proper requirements. On average 4-5 50lbs bags should be adequate.

I was looking for a 2' high enclosure for the aerator pump at my pond. I ended up using just two of the 4' sections on the sides and had the perfect 4X4' box. It was easy to assemble and looks terrific!

Overall a nice product. Easy to assemble with minimum tools. You are able to fit a lot in this planter. Make sure it's in the final location before filling. Once filled, your not moving this very easily. Would buy more in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 2 of these last year. I absolutely love them. Decided to add 2 more. They take a lot of dirt to fill but the outcome is awesome. The raised beds make it easy to maintain with out a back ache. We had a rough winter, and although we completed weeded and covered with tarps, the metal and structure held up perfectly. The packaging keep the metal sheets in perfect condition. Great product.

These metal planters are insanely easy to assemble and the Taupe color looks very uniform with our house. There were one or two tiny scratches/dents but they were on the inside of the planter. Overall very very happy with these planters. We are first time gardeners and very happy with our purchase.
